Martin, and his wife–well known trainer Pat Trichter–offer Florida’s premier dog training experience. With over 50 years experience between them they provide a service valued by all dogs and owners.

Based in Montverde Central Florida, and known as the Orlando Dog trainer as well as the Florida Dog Trainer, clients bring their dogs from all over the state and in fact the country to learn from Martin and Pat. Whatever your situation and whatever your problems Martin and Pat can help provide you and your dog with the foundation of a long and lasting loving relationship.

Training is always designed to provide your dog with the atmosphere and environment that will help him learn and return with a great outlook on life and you as his owner.

Florida Dog Trainer uses a wide variety of training approaches and equipment to help your dog learn and provide the communication for control. One of the approaches is E-Touch developed by Martin and Pat, a kind and humane way to communicate and create understanding in your dog using the E-Collar (remote trainer).

Martin explains –

Using E-Touch we have found that the e-collar is a tool that helps us with a methodology, philosophy and approach we have developed over the years. It is not an end in itself. E-Touch is not a magic method it is a catalyst which can be incorporated within training approaches to train even better. In training a dog we may use in addition food, verbal rewards, tactile rewards, or other means to help our dog students learn. The e-collar is a tool that can be added to the mixture to create something special. BUT the main principles of good dog training do not disappear, we stay creative, we do not depend on the e-collar for everything, there is no one best approach, it is not a race to see who can train the fastest. And most of all we work within the temperament and pace of the dog – reading the dog, and by doing so maintaining a true companion relationship is essential. We want a dog that will be a dog, will make decisions, and basically acts as a dog while remaining a partner and companion.

Although I originally started off using the collar in gundog work, I quickly realized the advantages with pet/companion dogs. I found as the Florida Dog Trainer with companion dogs that by incorporating the collar with `traditional’ approaches I could get good results and pass over the controls to owners. I could also, because I mixed it with leash work, treats, tennis balls, hand manipulation etc, use mostly low levels. This was the start of ‘E-Touch’;.

I am confident in the method and approaches we have developed at the Florida dog Trainer of achieving the desired results – a well behaved happy family dog. The e-collar is the most comprehensive dog training tool available to us today. Following training at Florida Dog Trainer you will find it is the most effective off leash communication between yourself and your dog.

Most of all, the big advantage is the ability of a dog trainer to hand control over to an owner; who does not have to be a skilled handler or dog trainer
